Residents of Malaga province aged 16 and above are eligible to enter the competition. The deadline for submissions is set until June 30. Estepona’s City Council has announced that the deadline for entries to the 27th Regional Competition of ‘Female-authored Letters’, focusing on themes promoting gender equality, will be open until June 30. Julia Simon, the councilor responsible for the Women’s Delegation, highlighted that the aim of this competition is to foster literary culture and enhance women’s involvement in various literary genres. Women aged 16 and above living in Malaga province are invited to participate, with each participant allowed to submit a single entry under a pseudonym. The prescribed theme for the letters is equality, with a first prize of 300 euros and a second prize of 150 euros up for grabs. Entries must be in Spanish, original, and unpublished, addressing real or imaginary persons or objects, spanning a maximum of two double-spaced typewritten pages or handwritten legibly on one side only, with a title. Submissions can be made until June 30 through the Electronic Office of Estepona’s City Council at https://estepona.sedelectronica.es under the ‘Female-authored Letters Contest’ category or via the General Entry Register of the City Council or other public entities. All submitted works will be retained by Estepona’s City Council, which reserves the right to publish selected finalists.
