The start of the 2025/26 academic year sees a total of 2,050 individuals beginning their sports activities at Estepona’s Municipal Sports Schools (EDM) organized by the Municipal Sports Delegation. With 24 sports activities on offer, there are 2,250 places available across 131 activity groups led by certified sports professionals. Registration numbers remain high, with 95% of spots filled, predominantly catering to children and young adults in activities like Athletics, Soccer, Tennis, and more. The schools with the highest demand include Padel, Pilates, Soccer, and G.A.P., all operating at full capacity. Prices range from 5 €/month for Chess to 28 €/month for Padel, Tennis, or Climbing. The City Council provides a 50% subsidy for those who meet specific criteria. Most activities take place in Estepona, with some sessions in Cancelada and urbanizations like Arroyo Vaquero and El Paraíso. Interested individuals can join waiting lists for fully booked groups.
