Estepona City Council has announced that the Library of Contemporary Cultures will be the venue for the lecture ‘Malaga: the core of the Generation of 27’ on February 25th at 8:00 pm. The lecture will be delivered by Eva Diaz Perez, a writer and journalist who will delve into the works of Malaga authors who played a significant role in the Generation of 27, a pivotal literary movement of the 20th century in Spain. Eva Diaz Perez, known for novels like ‘The Color of Angels’, ‘Adriatic’ (winner of the Malaga Novel Prize and Andalusia Critics’ Prize), ‘The Memory Club’ (finalist for the Nadal Prize 2008), and ‘Memory of Ashes’ (recipient of the Miguel de Unamuno Prize), will shed light on the cultural impact of Malaga within this literary movement. With a distinguished career in journalism for publications like ABC, El País, and El Mundo, Eva Diaz Perez has been recognized with various awards for her literary and cultural contributions. This event presents a unique opportunity to explore the legacy of the Generation of 27 and Malaga’s significance in Spanish literature of the 20th century.
