Scheduled for Saturday, August 22, at 10:00 a.m., the ‘Goalkeepers’ Battle’ organized by A.C.D. Esteponense in partnership with the City Council is now accepting registrations. This unique sports competition is designed exclusively for goalkeepers, who will showcase their technical skills, reflexes, accuracy, agility, and reaction time in one-on-one matches. The tournament, targeting youth soccer divisions such as benjamín, alevín, infantil, cadete, and juvenil, aims to promote sports participation, club camaraderie, and the cultivation of values like respect, teamwork, and fair play. Each age group will compete separately to ensure a fair and competitive environment. The event’s key objectives include encouraging youth sports involvement, providing specialized goalkeeper training, promoting healthy lifestyles, fostering camaraderie among athletes and clubs, and emphasizing values like respect and fair play. The tournament will feature goalkeeper-versus-goalkeeper duels where participants defend their goal and try to score against their opponent following the tournament regulations.
