The art exhibition titled ‘Visual Haiku’ will be available for viewing until September 16, with no entrance fee. The City Council of Estepona has revealed that an exhibition by Raquel Fierro, an artist hailing from León and residing in Marbella, will be showcased in Room 1 of Casa de Las Tejerinas, situated in Plaza de las Flores, until September 16. Featuring close to twenty pieces, the exhibition can be visited on Tuesdays to Fridays from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with no entry fee. Raquel Fierro, originally from León but a Marbella local for over forty years, discovered her passion for painting during her childhood, which eventually turned into a profound artistic pursuit. While primarily working with oil paints, she has also integrated watercolor into her current collection as a nod to her artistic journey. Her fascination with Japan, ignited during her initial visit to the country, inspired her to delve into the traditional Sumi-e painting technique. ‘Visual Haiku’ marks her debut solo exhibition, showcasing a diverse range of art from symbolic still lifes influenced by the Middle East to the peaceful landscapes of East Asia. Each piece is carefully selected for its aesthetic appeal, aiming to provide viewers with moments of tranquility, reflection, and beauty.
