Today, the mutual insurance company presented a diploma to the Consistory in recognition of the continuous efforts to decrease the accident rate and foster a strong culture of prevention within the local government. Estepona City Council was honored with a diploma from the social security collaborator FREMAP for their dedication over the past 25 years to lowering the accident rate among municipal employees and promoting a robust preventive culture within the administration. Ana Vilaseca, Deputy Mayor of Finance and Personnel, expressed gratitude for the acknowledgment, coinciding with World Day for Safety and Health at Work, highlighting the work of the municipal risk prevention service since its establishment in 2012. The service ensures compliance with laws and regulations regarding occupational risk prevention to safeguard the well-being of employees. Activities include training on risk prevention, emergency response, work-related medical examinations, and task adjustments for health reasons. These preventive measures are developed in collaboration with workers’ representatives to prioritize necessary actions based on hazards and job requirements, adapting to technological advancements. Additionally, FREMAP’s Ronda and Estepona offices praised the partnership with the City Council, rewarding initiatives such as efficient access to professionals for quick diagnoses, tailored prevention programs, reduced absenteeism costs, technical support for municipal operations, and contribution to public service enhancement through data-driven analysis.
