Published by Ediciones del Genal, *Cenizas* is Jiménez’s second poetry collection, delving into themes of love, heartache, loss, and the journey of self-reconstruction after suffering. “Saying goodbye when you wish to stay is tough, but it’s even more challenging to mend something shattered. It wasn’t our love that caused pain, but my misconception of it. Yet, I am no longer fearful of bidding you farewell—this marks my parting.” Laura Jiménez (born in Estepona, Málaga, aged 26) discovers in poetry the most genuine channel to articulate what ordinary words often struggle to express. Since childhood, she has turned to writing as a sanctuary, transforming emotions, encounters, and recollections into poetic lines.
