The book presentation is scheduled for Friday, May 8, at 6:00 p.m., in the Alfonso Gil Alfonso Hall, with open access until full capacity is reached. Estepona City Council announces that the poetry book ‘Slave or Free, Always Poetry’ by Mariluz Reyes and Juan Emilio Ríos will be presented on Friday, May 8, at 18:00 hours, at the Alfonso Gil Alfonso Hall of Casa de Las Tejerinas. The project originated from Juan Emilio Ríos’ proposal to Mariluz Reyes, resulting in a collection of poems featuring classical stanzas in the first part and free rhyme poems in the second part. The authors approached the metrical part uniquely, taking turns to write verses of each stanza alternatively, blending their poetics seamlessly. They express their delight in offering a joint work to the world, reflecting their pride in the collaboration. Mariluz Reyes, born in Jubrique, published her first poetry collection ‘Luz al aire’ in 2023 and currently enjoys ‘Brotaremos de nuevo’. Juan Emilio Ríos Vera, born in Algeciras in 1966, has a degree in Hispanic Philology and is actively involved in various literary and human rights associations. As a poet and author, he has published numerous books and received several prestigious awards for his literary contributions.
