From April 1 to 15, visitors can enjoy a new exhibition of 24 oil on canvas works by French artist Christine Arlert at Room 1 of Casa de Las Tejerinas in Plaza de las Flores. The exhibition is open Tuesday to Friday from 09:00 to 20:00 and Saturdays from 09:00 to 14:00 and 16:00 to 20:00, with free entry. Born in Paris, Arlert now resides in Estepona, dividing her time between Brussels and the Spanish town. A former economics graduate from ICHEC in Brussels, she transitioned to the arts and draws inspiration from nature, particularly stones, crystals, and water. Arlert admires artists like Gerhard Richter, Rothko, and Zao Wou-Ki, and works with acrylic and oil for their fluidity and possibilities. She also experiments with new mediums and focuses on portraits and live models, gradually returning to abstraction. Her love for oil painting has led to exhibitions in Belgium and Spain.
