The Estepona City Council is set to continue enhancing the city center with a renovation project focused on Plaza Colón. The initiative, currently open for public bidding, aims to revitalize the area bordered by Cristóbal Colón and María de Maeztu streets. The plan entails a comprehensive intervention covering 1,841 square meters, involving the replacement of pavement and urban furnishings. The project also includes assessing and upgrading existing infrastructure like drainage and lighting, alongside introducing new sewage and rainwater networks. The renovation will introduce green spaces, a fountain, and a drinking fountain, enriching the area’s functionality and aesthetics. With an initial budget of 593,000 euros, the final cost will be determined during the tender process, prioritizing the best value for the City Council. This initiative aligns with the Council’s ongoing efforts to enhance urban roads, benefiting over 130 streets and contributing to the city’s transformation and modernization.
