The ongoing efforts by the City Council to enhance safety on rural roads are evident in the construction of a 30-meter-long and 3-meter-high breakwater wall in La Pileta. Similar measures have been taken in La Cala, Loma de Atanasio, and Huertas del Padrón, with further plans for additional rural roads. The Estepona City Council is committed to ensuring the security of these roads, with recent focus on repairing the road of La Pileta following damage caused by heavy rains. The investment of 35,000 euros includes clearing the affected area, adding new gravel, and constructing a breakwater wall to prevent landslides and enhance safety. Future works will involve concrete surfacing and additional stabilization and drainage measures to improve safety on rural roads.
