Situated in the Cancelada neighborhood, the two new paddle tennis courts are now halfway through construction. Estepona City Council is dedicated to expanding the network of free outdoor sports facilities to encourage sports participation and healthy lifestyles among residents. The project involves pouring concrete surfaces for the courts after creating leveled areas on a compacted gravel subbase and installing the necessary rebar. Ductwork has been set up around the perimeter for lighting and irrigation systems. Next steps include installing the glass structure and landscaping the surrounding area. These courts, located on a 400 square meter plot, will complement the existing sports facilities in the vicinity. With a budget of 124,503.57 euros, the project aims to meet the increasing demand for paddle tennis facilities in Estepona and promote social integration through sports. This initiative is part of the city’s strategy to provide modern infrastructure to outlying neighborhoods, ensuring free access to high-quality sports facilities for the well-being of the population.
