Estepona’s City Council has announced that registration is now open for the XV Tapa Route ‘Taste Estepona’, which is part of the cultural event ‘Estepona lives its streets 2026’ and will take place from April 17 to 19. The goal of this event is to showcase the gastronomic culture and tradition of ‘tapas’ in Estepona, while highlighting the town’s culinary offerings. Participating bars and restaurants will also have the opportunity to compete in the ‘The Best Tapa 2026’ contest. Registration details and forms can be found on the City Council’s website, with submissions accepted until March 27. Prizes totaling 3,500 € will be awarded to the best tapas, chosen by both customers through popular vote and a professional jury. Participants will offer tapas with a drink for 3.50 € or with wine for 4.50 € during specified hours over the weekend. Those who collect at least three stamps from different establishments along the Route will have the chance to win prizes by entering the ‘The Best Tapa 2026’ contest. In addition, Frutas & Verduras Acosta will provide each participant with 100 € worth of products for tapa preparation.
