The ninth edition of the Blessed Virgin of Carmen Coronada Swim Crossing will take place on Sunday, July 26, at 11:00 a.m., on La Rada Beach, close to Plaza del Diario ABC. Registration is limited to 300 participants and will be available until July 24 at 5:00 p.m. on dorsalchip.es. The Estepona City Council has announced the opening of registration for this charity swim, organized by the Estepona Swimming Club (CNE) in partnership with the City Council. The aim is to promote swimming and encourage local residents to engage in recreational and competitive swimming. This event, which attracts open-water swimming enthusiasts from various parts of Spain and Europe, is now a staple in the annual swim calendar. Participants are encouraged to donate 1 kilo of non-perishable food to Cáritas Parroquial del Carmen on the day of the event, in collaboration with the Hermandad Nuestra Señora del Carmen Coronada. The program includes a children’s race with two distances: 300 meters for swimmers born between 2016 and 2018, and 600 meters for swimmers born between 2012 and 2015. The adult race offers two distances as well: 1,400 meters and 2,600 meters (two laps of the course) for swimmers born in 2007 or later. Interested participants can register on the website of the professional timing company www.dorsalchip.es. Registration will close on July 24 at 5:00 p.m. and is limited to 300 spots.
