The Children’s Athletics Tournament concluded with the final taking place at the Municipal Athletics Stadium on Tuesday, with over 300 1st, 2nd, and 3rd ESO students from six schools participating. The Estepona City Council, in collaboration with the Athletics Club of Estepona and local secondary schools, organized the ‘V Children’s Athletics Tournament 2026’. After the training phase from February to April, the male and female teams from IES Professor Tomás Hormigo (Group A), Monterroso, and Puerta del Mar (Group B) emerged as the winners. Different tests were conducted in the final, including races (Speed and Endurance), competitions (Long Jump and Shot Put), and relays. The schools with the highest points were crowned champions, with medals awarded to the top three in each category and trophies presented to the top three schools in each category.
