A new exhibition of contemporary art by Cuban artists of the 1980s generation who emigrated from Cuba in the 1990s will be hosted at the Casa de Las Tejerinas in Estepona. The exhibition, titled ‘Homage to Mario Algaze’, showcases the nostalgic vision of this neoclassical photographer, capturing cultural traditions and the essence of space and time. Through photography and art, the exhibition explores themes of memory, identity, and the fleeting moment, blending intimacy with documentary. The collection includes works by renowned artists such as Mario Algaze, Ivan CaƱas, Luis Cabrera, and many more. Mario Algaze, known for his elegant black and white images, used light in a unique way to create his signature style. His work, celebrating Latino identity and the art of black and white photography, has been exhibited worldwide. The exhibition, open from Tuesday to Saturday with free admission, offers visitors a glimpse into the rich artistic legacy of these talented Cuban artists.
