The Estepona City Council has announced that the Municipal Band will present the second concert of the summer series on Sunday, July 27, at 9:00 pm, featuring a selection of original band music. The event will take place at the Musical Venue Mtro. This season, led by maestro José Antonio López Camacho, marks the sixteenth year of the BME, which opened last Sunday in Cancelada. Over the course of six free concerts, the Municipal Band of Estepona will showcase a diverse repertoire of more than fifty pieces, ranging from pasodobles and TV series soundtracks to classical works and popular music. The remaining performances will be held every Sunday at Clock Square until August 24, culminating at Chess Square with a special concert dedicated to Miguel Ríos’ ‘Bienvenidos’, featuring singer Serafín Zubiri. Established in 1940, the Estepona Band is one of the oldest band ensembles in the country, receiving the Gold Medal of the City on its 75th anniversary.
