The Municipal Council sets up a scheme of complimentary in-person training courses on essential digital skills with accreditation

The initiative targets individuals aged 18 and above, and comprises 6 courses with 12 hours of instruction each, spread over four sessions. Classes are scheduled for Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, at the Padre Manuel Cultural Center. Estepona’s Municipal Council has announced that the enrollment period for the ‘Yo Conecto’ program is now open for free face-to-face courses focusing on crucial digital competencies with certification, designed for individuals over the age of 18. Participants will have the opportunity to enhance their employment prospects, as well as enhance their online business through the utilization of procedural management applications. They will also gain insights into creating content with Artificial Intelligence, and mastering digital marketing tools to expand their enterprises. Julia Simón, the Youth Councilor, mentioned that ‘with this initiative, we aim for our residents to acquire vital digital skills to enhance their job prospects and encourage online entrepreneurship, utilizing digital marketing tools and procedural management applications’. Additionally, she highlighted that participants ‘will also delve into content creation with Artificial Intelligence, a sought-after skill in today’s digital landscape’. This endeavor is made possible through a collaboration between the Council and the CiberVolunteers Foundation, a renowned Spanish NGO working towards promoting an inclusive digital transition and bridging the digital divide. The program comprises a total of 6 courses, running from March 17 to June 11. Each course spans 12 hours of instruction across four sessions, and classes will be conducted in the computer lab at the Padre Manuel Cultural Center, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 4 to 7 pm. The courses and their respective dates are as follows: – Useful Apps for Internet procedural management. March 17, 19, 24, and 26. – Content creation with Artificial Intelligence. April 7, 9, 14, and 16. – Crafting your digital portfolio. April 21, 23, 28, and 30. – Implementing Artificial Intelligence in your enterprise. May 5, 7, 12, and 14. – Brand expansion: Marketing and e-commerce. May 19, 21, 26, and 28. – Internet safety for minors. June 2, 4, 9, and 11.
