Inspired by the sunrise over the Mediterranean, the artwork titled ‘When the sea dances’ was unveiled today by the mayor of Estepona, José María García Urbano, and the artist Marta Bernad. The upcoming Fair and Festivities 2026 will take place from July 7 to 12. The poster captures the essence of Estepona, symbolizing the city’s tradition, beauty, and Mediterranean life through a contemporary yet rooted piece of art. Marta Bernad, a Zaragoza native and Estepona resident, expressed her intention to honor the light, sea, and festive spirit of the city with this work. Through the merging of the Mediterranean landscape with the excitement of the fair, the poster embodies the joy, light, and welcoming character of the upcoming celebrations. The City Council marked the beginning of the countdown to the much-anticipated event, promising a week filled with music, tradition, activities, and festive vibes.
