On the upcoming Sunday at 7:00 pm, a performance of Verdi’s iconic opera ‘Nabucco’ will take place at the Felipe VI Auditorium Theater, featuring subtitles in Spanish. This opera, known as Verdi’s first major triumph, includes the renowned Hebrew slaves’ chorus ‘Va, pensiero’. The Estepona City Council has announced that the company Leonor Gago Artist Management ‘LGAM’ will present a grand new production of ‘Nabucco’ by Giuseppe Verdi at the Teatro Auditorio Felipe VI. The well-known chorus ‘Va, pensiero’, considered a symbol of resistance that has deeply touched and continued to inspire generations, will be a centerpiece of the show. The event, scheduled for this Sunday, November 16, at 19:00 pm, will offer a single performance with Spanish subtitles. The mayor emphasized the impressive staging with a cast of over 70 artists and esteemed international soloists from the National Opera Theatre of Moldova, including baritone Pedro Castillo. The lyrical tragedy of Giuseppe Verdi, premiered on March 9, 1842 at La Scala in Milan, marks a significant milestone in the composer’s career despite not being one of his most frequently performed works.
