A cutting-edge mobile application has been launched by the Estepona City Council, providing citizens and visitors with detailed information on the municipality’s cultural, historical, and natural treasures. The Aumentur app, available for iOS and Android, offers nine digital guides in multiple languages, featuring text, audio, images, videos, and 3D models. Utilizing GPS geolocation and QR codes, users can easily navigate through almost 300 points of interest along nine thematic routes, such as charming corners, sculpture routes, and nature trails. This sustainable and user-friendly initiative replaces traditional audio guides and paper brochures, promoting a more environmentally conscious tourism experience. With full accessibility features and regular updates, the app aims to enhance the digital and sustainable transformation of tourism in Estepona. Funded by European Next Generation funds, this project aligns with Estepona’s Tourism Sustainability Plan, demonstrating the city’s dedication to innovation and visitor experience.
