A service tendered by the Consistory will offer training in various specialties such as Basic restaurant and bar operations, Restaurant services, Bar and cafeteria services, Socio-sanitary care for dependent people in social institutions and Health transport. The Estepona City Council has announced the launch of a project aimed at training unemployed young individuals in sectors with high labor demand. The approved service tender for youth entrepreneurship training itineraries forms part of the ‘Estepona Emplea’ project, which seeks to enhance the professional skills and job prospects for individuals under 30 who are currently unemployed or not engaged in education or training. Funded by the INCYDE Foundation through the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+) 2021-2027, the program has a budget of 99,375 euros and will provide five specialized training itineraries for a total of 75 participants, grouped in cohorts of up to 15 students. The training will focus on sectors like the hospitality industry and socio-sanitary field, offering courses in Basic restaurant and bar operations, Restaurant services, Bar and cafeteria services, Social and health care for dependent people in social institutions and Health transport. Participants will undergo 200 hours of training, blending classroom instruction with online tutorials. The training aims to equip individuals with sector-specific skills and enhance their employability through digital literacy, job search techniques, interview preparation, interpersonal skills, entrepreneurship, and self-employment. Additionally, the program will provide personalized mentoring and support to boost the participants’ utilization of training and facilitate their entry into the job market. The training activities are scheduled for implementation in 2026, reinforcing the City Council’s commitment to fostering training opportunities and employment access for the youth while catering to sectors in need of skilled professionals and contributing to Estepona’s economic and social progress.
