To maintain the cleanliness and preservation of the coastal corridor, the City Council has launched a clearing and cleaning campaign in over thirty areas. The goal is to ensure safe passage and prevent the build-up of dry vegetation that could lead to fires. A team of five workers equipped with brush cutters, pruners, and blowers has been working on this task since last week. The Estepona City Council has initiated a comprehensive campaign to clear and clean the entire coastal corridor, aiming to keep this area in top condition for residents. Starting in the Guadalobón area, the specialized team is using various tools to maintain and enhance the path. This initiative serves a dual purpose: ensuring the corridor’s cleanliness and conservation for safe transit, as well as reducing the risk of fire by clearing dry vegetation and undergrowth. Additionally, to maintain the corridor throughout the summer, clearing work will be conducted twice to control vegetation growth and maintain safety, cleanliness, and accessibility. These actions are crucial this year due to the excessive growth of weeds and vegetation following heavy winter rains, making the tasks more challenging. The coastal corridor is a vital infrastructure for sustainable mobility, tourism, and environmental protection, connecting the entire coastline of the municipality. The completed and upcoming sections secure the maritime-terrestrial public domain, allowing citizens to enjoy this valuable resource.
